Brain Games

All Corporate Games Team Building events require creative group problem solving, but some in this series of activities require extra perseverance. Teams may not always be presented with “puzzles” that are straightforward to solve. These events focus on a team’s ability to look at what is in front of them – from different perspectives.

The ESCAPE Plan

The ESCAPE Plan is a fun, creative Escape Room challenge for large groups of 50 up to 350. Companies can opt to utilize a unique venue like a museum, ship, or other event space (indoor or outdoor)—and have its features incorporated into the game. Each team has a team table. The room has objects, which hide clues and keys that will allow the group to solve a series of “puzzles” that unlock a series of padlocks –and complete the mission.

Break-In: A Team Escape Challenge

In this event, teams need to use their wits and senses to “break-in” to a locked room within 2 hours. It’s a spy-themed mission that requires collaboration, cooperation, and the ability to solve interesting puzzles. This event is perfect for groups of 40 or less. Each team is given a number of locations to visit within a given area –usually a large campus, downtown area, or tourist area. These challenges, posed by facilitators, will allow them to collect information that ultimately provides the final location and unlocks the room.

The Ad Biz

This is a fun, very creative competition that elicits lots of laughter, gives participants a chance to be “a star,” and is always entertaining. Each team is an advertising company that must create a marketing slogan, a script and film a 60-second television commercial. These commercials must be about their own company and be as creative, persuasive and entertaining as possible. Video cameras, costumes, wigs and props are given to every team. At the end of the creative period (1.5- 2 hours), each team shows its commercial, and the entire group votes for Best Commercial, which is often posted on the company’s internal communications link!

CGI Crime Game Investigation

If you are fans of the CSI television series and have a group of 25 or less, this game is for you!  Teams gather evidence, perform experiments and collaborate to solve a mystery. A scenario is described in which a “fatality” or “disappearance” takes place. Participants collect clues from the crime scene, study photographs and fingerprints as well as question “top Investigators.” Each team will present its solution to a “jury” who will determine the best CGI team. This is a great activity for the “Investigator” in all of us!

The Catacombs

This is a fast, “shifting” giant board game that is played by four teams of 2-4 people per team. The object of the activity is to work with your team members to collect “artifacts” that are inside a giant maze. To do this, they must navigate their player token along clear passageways to reach the items. Teams manipulate the walls and passageways by shifting the tiles that make up the maze each time it is their turn. Not only will the passageways shift, the rules can too!

The Puzzling Team Challenge

The Puzzling Team Challenge is one of the best ways to illustrate how each person and each team is part of a larger whole. Each team starts with a jigsaw puzzle that they must try to complete-- before any other team completes theirs. The next goal for each team is to "find the hidden message" on the back of their completed puzzle by flipping it over once completed. There are additional factors that make this seemingly easy task more difficult, and force them to really organize and communicate.
